How do I know which one is right for my project?
We will go through some of the different finishes and different metals available at Decorative Ceiling Tiles. Here are some of the most common questions.
Aluminum: What is the difference between Mill finish and Clear? Mill finish is a unfinished tile and is meant to be primed and painted as it may oxidize over time. Clear finish is coated with a polyurethane clear coat and does not require a finish and is ready to be installed as is.
Tin Plated Steel: Tin is a thicker gauge metal and is a little heavier than the Aluminum ceiling tiles. Tin however requires to be primed and painted on both sides as it will rust over time if left untreated.
